Flim Actor Sushant Singh Rajput Biography

Sushant Singh Rajput was born on 21 January 1966 in Purnia, Bihar. Father Krishna Kumar Singh and mother Usha Singh. He first studied at St. Karens High School in Patna, then at Kulachi Model School after his family moved to New Delhi in 2000. Sushant Singh was gifted in Rajput studies and he passed 11 engineering entrance exams in his entire life.

In 2003, he finished seventh in the Delhi College of Engineering Entrance Examination and was admitted to Mechanical Engineering. Sushant was also a National Olympiad winner in Physics. While in his third year of engineering, he joined the Shiamak Chess Dance Academy, after which he began studying at Barry John's Drama School. He soon developed a passion for acting.

Within months of joining the Shimak Chess Dance Institute, Sushant was selected to perform with the dance of background dancers at the 51st Filmfare Awards in 2005. The following year, he also starred in the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Australia. He eventually left college for an acting career. He then moved to Mumbai, where he joined Nadira Babbar's theater troupe and was a part of the troupe for more than two years.

Sushant Personal Life

While actively participating in the Sushant Theater, she was reportedly dating co-theater actor Richa Chadda. Sushant started dating his co-star Ankita Lokhande in 2009. However, Sushant announced their separation in early 2016 via a tweet. Although neither of them has ever said anything clearly about it. However, it is learned that Sushant Singh Rajput's closeness with Kriti Sanon was the reason behind his separation from the painted iron.

Television Career

Sushant worked on a Nestle company ad in 2006, after which Balaji Telefilm invited him to audition for their show "Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil". In the show, he played the lead role of Preet Juneja. Although his character died very early in the series, based on popular demand, he was brought back to the show in the form of a spirit at the end of the series. The serial was a short but successful success, after which Sushant starred in the popular serial Pavitra Rishta with co-star Ankita Lokhand. He has since been seen as a dancer on several dance reality shows like Zara Nachke Dikha 2 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4. For two years he was part of the show, winning several awards and receiving nominations for his performances. He then went abroad in 2011 to take a filmmaking course and left the show.

Movie Career

After his television success, Sushant became interested in cinema. He first auditioned for a role in Abhishek Kapoor's released Kai Po Che in 2013! Based on Chetan Bhagat's novel The Three Mistakes of My Life. Starring with Prince Rao and Amit Sadh. Here he played the role of district level cricketer Ishan Bhatt. The movie and Sushant's performance were critically acclaimed, the movie was a commercial success and Sushant's performance was critically acclaimed. For his role as Ishan, Rajput has won several Best Debut Awards and Nominations.

His first film got a chance to act in Yashraj Films' romantic comedy Suddh Desi Romance for commercial and critical success. Critics praised Rajput's unprecedented performance, calling it fresh, childish and spontaneous. He was then seen in Prince Hirani's sci-fi comedy PK, co-starring Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma, where he played a minor role. The movie became one of the highest grossing films of 2014 and it is also one of the highest grossing Indian films.

After making only three movies in the industry, Sushant Divakar played the first character of Bandyopadhyay's detective Byomkesh Bakshi which was released in 2015! Sushant is seen in Neeraj Pandey's biopic which is a biography of India's most successful cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The movie was a commercial success and Sushant's performance earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

  • In 2010, Sushant won the Indian Television Academy Awards for Most Popular Actor (Male); BIG Star Entertainment Award for Best Television Actor (Male).
  • Won another award in 2011 - Kalakar Award Favorite Actor (Male). 
  • In 2014, Sushant Singh Rajput won the Screen Award Best Male Debut for the film ‘Kia Po Che!’. 
  • In 2017, Sushant won the On-Screen Award for Best Actor (Critic) and Best Actor in Melbourne for his film ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ at the Indian Film Festival.

Sushant Singh Rajput: Death 

Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on June 14, 2020 at his Mumbai apartment.
